There have been multiple records of the rail from Dalton Pass that include <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://ebird.org/checklist/S65094552">photographs</a>, <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://xeno-canto.org/collection/spotlight/10">sound recordings</a>, and even <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://ebird.org/checklist/S65094555">video </a>of the species. The most recent documented record is a photograph taken at the pass by Ivan Sarenas in October 2014.
