Last Documented

The last photographed individual was captured by trappers on Dalton Pass in the northern Philippines (January 2009; Allen 2009). The last specimen was collected two years prior (February 2007), farther north in the mountains of Luzon. Both of these birds, however, may represent within-island migrants (BirdLife International 2001).
